FAQs

  • Do you install tankless water heaters?

    Yes. We are experienced at tankless water installations. We can help you determine whether a tankless water heater is right for you and which size and type is best for your home. 

  • What is the difference between a conventional water heater and a tankless water heater?

    Conventional storage-type water heaters heat a volume of water continuously whether there is a demand for hot water or not.  This can be very inefficient.  Tankless water heaters only heat water when there is a demand for hot water, which can save you a lot of money over the life of the heater.  Sometimes, it's as simple as removing the storage water heater and installing a tankless heater in its place.  Other times, it's not this simple, as the gas and venting requirements for tankless heaters are different from storage heaters.

  • My water bill increased. What could cause this?

    Any number of things could cause a high water bill.  It could be as simple as a leaking toilet, or could be caused by a leaking water service or water heater.  Some lines, especially in slab construction aren't accessible, and you wouldn't know there is a leak, unless you get a high water bill.

  • I am adding a bathroom in my basement. Can you do that type of work?

    Yes, we can add fixtures, or even entire bathrooms.  Call us today for an estimate.

  • My drains aren't working properly and they sometimes back up. What could cause that?

    A variety of things can cause blocked or slow drains. It could be something as simple as sediment, hair, or other debris clogging the drain, to septic system problems, or roots growing inside the sewer pipes. We can get you flowing and diagnose the cause of the problem to make long term repairs.

  • Are you licensed and insured?

    We are licensed and insured to provide plumbing services in the state of Georgia. Beacon Plumbing Services is owned and operated by a Master Plumber so you can rest assured that you are getting premium quality service. 

  • Do you do emergency plumbing?

    We do. While our regular hours are Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM, we offer emergency plumbing repair in Cartersville and the surrounding area. 

  • Do you work on gas lines?

    Yes, we can locate leaks, make repairs, and run new interior or exterior gas piping.  We are licensed by the State of Georgia to do all types of gas work.
